What is the difference between ombré powder brows and microblading?Ombre powder brows are a semi-permanent makeup technique that creates a soft, shaded, and natural-looking gradient effect, resembling the look of softly filled-in brows with makeup. It is achieved using a machine to deposit tiny dots of pigment into the skin, giving a defined yet natural appearance. The front of the brows is lighter and gradually darkens towards the tail, mimicking the look of perfectly applied brow makeup. Microblading, on the other hand, involves manually creating hair-like strokes with a handheld tool to simulate natural eyebrow hairs. This technique is ideal for those who want to enhance their brows with a more hair-stroke look. In summary, ombre powder brows provide a more filled-in and defined look, similar to wearing brow makeup, while microblading offers a natural, hair-like effect. The best choice depends on your desired brow style and skin type.

What are the benefits of Ombré Powder BrowsNATURAL LOOKING RESULTS: Provides a soft, gradient effect that mimics natural brow shading. LONG LASTING: Typically lasts 1-3 years with minimal touch-ups, depending on skin type and aftercare. LESS INVASIVE: Uses a shading technique that is less harsh on the skin compared to microblading. SUITABLE FOR ALL SKIN TYPES: Works well on oily, dry, and sensitive skin, unlike some other brow techniques. CUSTOMIZABLE: The intensity of the shading can be adjusted to create a look that suits individual preferences, from soft and subtle to bold and defined. MINIMAL DISCOMFORT: Generally involves less pain and irritation compared to other permanent makeup procedures. LOW MAINTENANCE: Reduces the need for daily brow makeup and upkeep. FADES EVENLY: Unlike other techniques, Ombre Powder Brows tend to fade gradually and uniformly, avoiding harsh or patchy regrowth. NO BROW HAIR REQUIRED: Ideal for individuals with sparse or thin eyebrows as it doesn’t rely on natural hair. QUICK HEALING PROCESS: Typically heals faster than other brow techniques, with minimal scabbing or downtime.

What is the procedure like? After you’ve filled out your consent form, I sit with you to answer any questions you may have before we begin the treatment. The first thing I do is capture before and after photos of your brows. I map your brows using different measuring tools and pencil to get them as symmetrical as possible. (No one’s face is totally symmetrical. It is unrealistic to have expectations of perfect eyebrows. Brows are sisters not twins, so I will aim to achieve the ILLUSION of symmetry. I draw the brow design in pencil so you get an idea of the shape and form. Before beginning the procedure, I make sure the shape and form is to your liking. I won’t begin with anything until you are absolutely satisfied- I will always give my input on what I feel looks better for your brow and facial structure but it’s ultimately up to you. Once we have agreed on a final shape, the brows are outlined and then topical anesthetic will be applied to ensure comfort. Once you’re numb, I continue with the procedure until finished.
-
Do Ombré Powder Brows Hurt?It all depends on your pain tolerance. Everyone has a different level of sensitivity but I always apply topical anesthetics (numbing) during the treatment to alleviate any pain, sensation or discomfort.
-
How long does the procedure take?Ombré powder brows can take about 3-4 hours. I take my time with each client and work very diligently to ensure the best results possible. This time includes going over consent form, consultation and deciding on what look you are trying to achieve, brow mapping, numbing, procedure time, pictures and explaining after care.
-
How long does the final product last?Normally 2-5 years but it varies with skin type. It depends on how well your skin retains pigment during and after the session as well as how well you maintain your brows. Touch-ups are recommended annually to maintain brow shape and color. Touch-ups also ensure that your brows last longer.
-
Are there any restrictions after the procedure?Keep the skin clean and dry. Dont submerge your brows in water or partake in activities such as swimming and exercising (no sweating). Overall avoid getting the area wet; no tanning or prolonged sun exposure; no picking, peeling, scratching or rubbing the tattoo, this could result in a loss of color and scarring. Once your brows have healed (10-14 days), you can wash your hair and face normally and begin treating your brows as your own.
